Salt & Pepper Peanuts

These Virginia peanuts are grown and roasted by Belmont Peanuts. J.Q. Dickinson sends salt to be added when they are roasted. They are crunchy and delicious. They make a great snack and a great gift!

J.Q. Dickinson is a local, family owned salt mine with a history dating back to 1817. The mine taps into an ancient, rich source trapped beneath the Appalachian Mountains — the Iapetus Ocean. The salt is treated more like an agricultural product rather than an extractive mineral product. “It’s something we pull from the ground; we let mother nature do her work on it, and then we harvest it."
