ReAnimator was founded in 2010 by Mark Capriotti and Mark Corpus, who bought a small project roaster, and started roasting small batches in the basement of a row home in Philadelphia, selling bags at a local urban farm on Saturdays. Mark and Mark had experienced the burgeoning third wave coffee scene on the west coast, and wanted to try bringing that experience to their hometown.

The most rewarding part of our work is the relationships we build through it, both with our customers and our partners at origin. Visiting the farms and producers who grow the coffees, and witnessing quality improve year over year is really invigorating.

It's also really special to introduce newcomers to seasonal and lighter roasted coffees, where they can really taste terroir, maybe for the first time ever, and have an altogether new experience and relationship with coffee.
