Local Half Cow (350-400 lbs)
A half cow from Thoma is the kind of order that changes your whole freezer situation.
This is a **special order half of a beef cow**, and the current price is based on **375 pounds hanging weight**. We will **true up the final total at delivery** based on the actual hanging weight and finished yield.
Hanging weight will be about 350-400 lbs - at a roughly 62% yield, 215-250 lbs of wrapped cuts will come back to you.
You do not need to have every steak spoken for right now, but you should know this is a lot of beef. The final mix will include a broad range of cuts and is best for someone with serious freezer space, or better yet, **a few friends or family members going in together** and splitting it up.
This order requires **2 to 4 weeks lead time** and will be **delivered on a Thursday or Friday**. Once it is getting close, we will be in touch to coordinate the details.
Total price will be adjusted at the time of the delivery to hanging weight and current per lb beef market price.

Brad himself is in charge of raising the sheep. The Thoma family has become an integral part of the agricultural landscape in Western PA.
