Fresh Basil Box - Make Pesto!
1 lb Fresh Basil, Pesto Ready
This is not a garnish.

A full pound of fresh basil.
## Classic Pesto Recipe
You’ll need:
- 4 cups packed fresh basil leaves (this 1lb box will get you there)
- 1/2 cup toasted nuts, pine nuts or walnuts both work
- 2 to 3 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup good olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Squeeze of lemon, optional
## How to make it
- Add basil, nuts, and garlic to a food processor. Pulse until finely chopped.
- Add Parmesan. Pulse again.
- With the machine running, slowly drizzle in olive oil until smooth.
- Salt to taste. Add a squeeze of lemon if you like brightness.
That’s it.
Spoon into small jars or ice cube trays. Top with a thin layer of olive oil. Freeze. Pop out cubes as needed.
Dinner solved in about 30 seconds all year.
